Dustin Thompson

A 3rd Generation Montanan, Dustin grew up in Great Falls enjoying all that Montana and its great outdoors had to offer.  His love of Montana, kept Dustin in Big Sky Country after high school, where he attended the University of Montana in Missoula, earning a B.S. in Wildlife Biology. 

The next few years were spent traveling the greater Northwest as a fisheries technician, before his passion of working with wood eventually lead him to Norris Woodworking.  It is here, where he received his formal hands on training, under the tutelage and guidance of Abbot Norris and his dedicated team of talented professionals.

After nine years with Norris, Dustin decided to take the leap and pursue his dream of running his own woodworking shop, and in the fall of 2016 Thompson Wood Works was founded. Dustin’s attention to detail, hard work, and use of quality materials, paired with his craft and creativity form the backbone of Thompson Wood Works.  Connecting with his community and collaborating with his clients to bring beautiful, timeless, and unique wood creations to life is what Dustin truly cares about.
